Hmmm,
1. Like it or not, we groom you for a real relationship - OF course, cause god forbid we accept you for why you are.
2. We’re sympathetic - as long as it involves us.
3. We’re extraordinary ego-boosters - uhm… yea, right. Then where did the term “hen-pecked” come from?
4. We’re soft - Depends. Define soft?
5. We keep your social life hopping - Not likely. All of my friends were gone within two years because “I got married”.
6. We listen - MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Ahem… sorry. You were serious, weren’t you..?

Nina Malkin’s ‘reasoning’ is based on mythology and subjectivity. The author’s intent is to use emotion as a means of ‘persuading’ the reader into ‘accepting’ her ‘opinion’. In other words, the woman’s article is a form of rhetorical claptrap.
