Angry Woman Disrobes In Front Of Boy, Threatens To Continue, Judge Sets Her Free
From the Associated Press:
RIVERSIDE, Calif. - A judge dismissed an indecent exposure charge against a woman accused of disrobing in front of a 14-year-old boy, saying the law only applies to men.
Superior Court Judge Robert W. Armstrong said earlier in the week that the law only mentions someone who “exposes his person.”
“It’s gender specific,” Armstrong said.
What makes this more disturbing is that the “full-frontal nudity” was a way to punish the boy for playing basketball too loudly. He ran inside to tell his parents, obviously not enjoying the peep-show. I’m happy the female prosecutor is appealing the case.
Prosecutor Alison N. Norton said the decision to throw out the case will be appealed because another section of state law says that “words used in the masculine gender include the feminine and neuter.”
After all, Alexis Luz Garcia, 40, of Corona “threatened to do it every time he played basketball.” I can see this boy’s house being the neighborhood hang-out, but not for his video games or wide-screen TV.
